Another Sculpture: Part Three

This is the third set of photos and as you can see, they include some fun figures. The vertical stacking of figures reminds me of a totem pole. Here in Canada, we tend to think of totem poles as always being vertical, but these ancient artists did a similar stacking of faces or images in a horizontal line. I've seen both. One day, I'll have to do a posting on the subject because it's a common theme in the stones that I've found in our fields.

On another note, the figure in the sixth photo from the bottom reminds me of the wizard character that I've mentioned in previous postings. He always has a pointy head.
