A One Inch Stone With Faces

It's hard to believe that this little one inch stone has so many faces in it. How did the artist manage to do this on a stone that is so small? I had to zoom in to capture the images and some of the clarity was lost, but I think the faces are still visible. In some cases, I've included more than one photo of the same image; some from a slightly different angle or lighting. Despite this, I think it's still a lot of images for what is a very tiny stone.
