Butterfly Stone Face
I love how the artist incorporated Mucrospirifer fossils into the faces on this stone. This particular fossil was a fixture in my childhood although we used to call them "butterfly stones." We'd find them in the field and on our gravel lane. I think the artist did a good job on the teeth too. I'm not sure if the red markings on the other side are a natural part of the stone or were added by the artist, but the bright red colouring and the big round eyes are what caught my eye in the field.
