Light-and-Dark Stone: Part One

This stone features an artistic technique that appears in the posting "An Interesting Fossil: Part Two."  I call it the "pop-up head" motif. Basically, it is a head with googly eyes that is peeking up over or around another object. I would suggest that this is a technique done not only by a human hand, but most likely by the same artist or school of artists.

The first photo is an example of a pop-up head from "An Interesting Fossil: Part Two." See if you can spot a similar head in the light-and-dark stone that follows. Hint: The pop-up head is dark! You might catch a glimpse of it in this first posting, but you will get a better look in Parts Two or Three.
